Job Opportunities

Working at Cave

The studio is a dynamic space often with multiple projects cycling through at once. While it is a creative endeavor, production papermaking is a physical and repetitive craft requiring focus and attention to detail to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety. We like to keep our hands moving while having fun! A typical day will begin with a brief check-in about order and inventory statuses, the task list for the day, delegation of duties, and any other updates. Employees will become familiar with the entire process from raw fiber to finished sheet: fiber preparation, sheet formation, surface treatments, flattening, curating, and shipping.

As our business and capacity for production is growing, we are gradually growing our team as well. As an employee at Cave, you will work directly with the proprietor (Zoë), as well as independently and as part of a team. Ramona the dog also provides constant moral support and will remind you to take a break to play with her.

We aim to expand our internship and education opportunities as we settle into our new location at 846 N. Stone Avenue, Tucson AZ .

People of all ages, backgrounds, genders, and identities who have strong physical endurance, attention to detail, value of craftsmanship, and like to get messy are encouraged to apply!

Please email your resume and a cover letter describing why you want to make paper with us (info@cavepaper.com). We will be in touch within a few weeks to organize an interview.
